Oregon Issues Out Of State Medical Marijuana Cards

Oregon is the only state in the country to issue medical marijuana cards to  non-residents. Since June of 2010 approximately 72,000 medical marijuana cards were issued, 600 of which where out-of-state residents. The highest number of these THC patients came from WA with 310. Next in line was Idaho with 140, followed by CA with only 50 THC patients.

Certain states honor medical marijuana cards regardless of which state issued it. That’s one reason people registered in Oregon.  Other users are hoping that the out-of-state medical marijuana card will offer some legal protection if they are arrested with their THC products / paraphernalia.
